How to get the WWE Network in Australia on PS4, PS3, Xbox 360 or iPad

The WWE Network launched to massive fanfare last week, but alas, it’s hasn’t launched in Australia, at least not yet. There was a brief moment of glory when the app could be downloaded and used through consoles, but that loophole seems closed.

The official Australian launch of the WWE Network is set for late 2014 or early 2015, but there is another way! And it’ll only cost you an additional $3 per month with Getflix, which will also give you access to overseas video streaming services, including Netflix, Hulu Plus and even AFL TV for live matches (although we haven’t tested the latter).

In the past, we’ve suggested Unblock-us, which works just as well. The advantages of Getflix are it being based in Australia, which could slightly improve streaming quality, and a $2 per month saving.

Unblock-us, meanwhile, offers more services overall and more Netflix regions, which vary considerably. Either will do the same job for the WWE Network, as will other geo-unblocking services.

Register for a WWE Network account

Step 1: Sign-up for an account on There’s a one week free trial on offer, and it’s US $10 per month thereafter with a six month commitment (minimum spend US $60).

Step 2: You’ll need to input an American address – 123 Fake Street will work perfectly well with a real Zip code, like 90210, or you can put a zero at the end of your Australian post code.

You’ll also need to add a credit card or Paypal which shouldn’t be charged during the free trial period. Hulu has blocked Australian credit cards in the past, but both Aussie credit cards and Paypal accounts seem to work fine.

Unblock the WWE Network

As with Netflix and Hulu Plus, you’ll need a DNS service to access the WWE Network.

Step 1: Sign-up for Getflix ($3 per month after a 14 day free trial), Unblock-us ($5 per month after a 7 day free trial) or another service of your choice. We only recommend either of these two because we’ve tried them.

Step 2: Once you’ve signed up, set-up your DNS service. We recommend setting it up via your router if you wish to use multiple devices. However, if you only wish to use one, it can be entered directly via the device being used for the WWE Network, Netflix, Hulu Plus, BBC iPlayer and other international services.

Here’s how to setup Getflix and here’s how to setup Unblock-us.

Accessing WWE Network on PlayStation 4 / PlayStation 3

As with other international services, you’ll need a US PSN account to download the WWE app.

Step 1: Sign up for a WWE Network account and DNS service as outlined above.

Step 2: Next, you’ll need a US PSN account. Sign up for an American account here.

Step 3: Make a new user on your PlayStation 4 or PS3 and link it to your American PSN account.

Step 4: Go to the PlayStation Store (which will now present you with US content). Go to Apps and download the WWE Network and any other US services you want to use.

Step 5: Return to your Australian PSN account or continue using your American log-in. The US account can be deleted from your console if you wish (but save the details for later).

Step 6: Log-in to the WWE Network and enjoy all its content before the official Australian release!

Accessing WWE Network on Xbox 360

Step 1: Sign up for a WWE Network account and DNS service as outlined above.

Step 2: Set up a US Xbox 360 account. Create a free Xbox Live account and input a fake North American address with a real Zip code. It does not require Xbox Live Gold.

Step 3: Download the WWE Network app using your new US account and any other desired US services.

Step 4: Restart your Xbox 360 — this will solve any lingering issues from the new DNS or switch to US account.

Step 5: Sign-in to your Australian Gamertag and enjoy the WWE Network before its release in Australia!

What about Xbox One? Sorry, fella. The WWE app is “coming soon” for Xbox One.

Accessing WWE Network on iPad / iPhone / PC

It’s even easier to watch WWE on your iPad or iPhone. Since it’s coming to Australia eventually, you can download the standard WWE app without needing to change regions.

The DNS service to circumvent the geo-blocking will allow the app to deliver the WWE Network via iOS in Australia.

Likewise, it will work on PC or Mac in your web browser.
